Robert Kubica - formula 1 driver from Poland (born in Kracow in 1984). He is beloved by Poles and has a lot of fans in every age.

Kubica's fascination with cars started when he was fourth. His father bought him then samll car - a toy but powered by petrol engine. Robert spent a long time driving this vehicle.

Some time later Robert started to race in Polish Karting Championship. Than it turned, that he's got a talent. He was winning almost every race. He's career had to be continued, so in 2000 he become test driver for Formula Renault 2000 car. Very quickly  Robert proved, that he is good driver and won 4 races.  He become then member of Renault's driver developement programme.
After Formula Renault Kubice moved to Formula Three Euro Series and then to Formula 1.

Not everyone knows, that the famous accident, which Robert had during driving Formula 1 in the Canadian Grand Prix wasn't the only one in his career. It wasn't also the most dangerous. Kubica, when he was in Formula Renault 2000, had a road accident in which he broke his arm. He recovered but in his arm the titanium screws had to be insert to hold it all toghether.

Currently Kubica is racing for Renault team (since 2010). He's position in Formula 1 general classification is 7th, but the season is in porgress and probably it will change. We hope that for the better.
