Today photos of one of the Polish manors - manor in Lopuszna (village near Zakopane near Gorce mountains). The hause was built in 1790 by former confederate of Bar -Romuald Lisicki. For some time manor belongs to Leon Przerwa-Tetmajer - uncle of famous Polish Writer Kazimierz Przerwa-Tetmajer. Till World War II manor was property of Lgocki family, but after 1945 the estate shared the fate of many other manors and was taken over by the Treasury. This almost led Lopuszna to ruin, but in 70'th the manor was taken over by the Tatra Museum and restored.

Enough about Warsaw. Today something about Łódź - the third largest Polish city.

Name Łódź means a boat, but it's not entirely proved, that city name origins are connected to the boat. It is possible that name "Łódź" came from surename or from "loza" what means willow.

Not only Holland have windmills. In Poland nowdays there are few or none working windmills but in the past, there were many.

First info about windmills in Poland has been dated on the second half of the XIII century. This is permission to build a windmill by monks from monastery in Biały Stok issued by prince Wiesław from Rugia.

Lot of windmills were destroyed during wars (especially during the second world war). Some of them burnt in fires, becouse they were mainly build of wood.

Now the few which have left are dying on the fields. Sometimes there are carried to the museums. Some of them even are restored to its original look and private investors build in them restaurants or hotel, but this happens very rare.

Today panoramic photos of polish cities. Cities in Poland are different from the huge, urbanized cities in i.e. USA, Germany or Great Britain. In Poland cities grow more in breath rather than to the top. Big skycrapers are rare view reserved mainly for the centrum of capital city - Warsaw.

Many Polish cities were destroyed into the ground during the last World War. Especially Warsaw, which over 90% was ruined. This was and still is Polish curse, that country is placed in the middle of Europe and is affected by almost every war. In Poland there are almost no places which are 'really' old towns. For example Warsaw Old Town, which is on UNESCO list, was totaly rebuild from a scratch.
