In Old Poland love magic (though repressed by the church) was very popular either among nobility, peasants and citizens and even at the royal court.

Today once more something completely different... Polish inventions ;-) but todays inventions which were used in commercial which probably intends to promote Poland and especially Polish Vodka. Many Poles considers this advertisement as really offensive so if You are Pole, please take it with humor. If not, take it with humor also ;-) Polish oligchars from the Second Polish Republic were able without the agreement of the king to pursue his own foreign policy and even own wars with other countries! It was possible, because magnates had a lot of money and lands and they made depednent from them smaller land owners. Powerfull oligarchs lent smaller landlords moneys. Very often debtors could not pay back their debts. Since then they were under control. They have to vote on their debtors in Polish councils.

Gniew (in Polish it means anger) - small city built in XIII - is famous in Europe, becouse of it's castle and International Knights Tournament which is hosted every year by the town.
